Sircol
Peer-to-peer trusted search

Warm intros to anyone,
through people you already trust.

Sircol lets you ask the people in your network to search their inbox or LinkedIn on your behalf — without ever giving up your data, or seeing theirs. Every result is approved, one by one.

Free while in early access · No credit card.

What it is

One ask. One human in the loop. One approved answer.

You ask. They search.

Send a query — an email subject, a LinkedIn search, a person you're trying to reach — to anyone you're connected with on Sircol. The work happens in their account.

They stay in control.

The recipient sees the results in their own inbox or LinkedIn first. They approve only the rows they want to share — one by one.

You only see what they approved.

The full inbox stays private. You get exactly the answer your connection chose to give you, with an optional note attached.

Use case · Sales & BD

Skip the cold outreach. Walk in warm.

Trying to break into a target account? Sircol turns your network into a smart search index. Ask three connections at once: "Who do you know at Stripe in payments partnerships?" — their LinkedIn finds the right person; your connection introduces you.

  • Send one query to many connections at once
  • Each recipient approves only the names they'd actually intro
  • You receive a short list of warm leads, not a cold dump

Example: a sender asks 5 connections for intros into Acme Corp's RevOps team.

Use case · Recruiting

Employee referrals, without the awkward Slack ask.

Referred hires stay longer, ramp faster, and cost less to source than candidates from job boards. Sircol makes referrals frictionless: every open role becomes a structured search you can send through your team's network. They approve, you interview.

How it works

From question to answer in three steps.

1

Send your query

Pick connections, choose data (Email or LinkedIn), paste your query — like partnerships at Acme or a LinkedIn People Search URL.

2

They approve in their inbox

Each recipient sees a Sircol request alongside the search results on their side. They check the rows worth sharing.

3

You see only what's approved

Approved results land in your outbox with an optional note. The rest never leaves their account.

Trust & privacy

Built so your connections can say yes.

Encrypted at rest.

IMAP passwords and OAuth tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted in Sircol's database.

We never read inboxes.

Sircol queries your connection's account through their own authenticated session. No bulk pulls, no shadow copy.

Approval is per-result.

A search returning 50 rows doesn't share 50 rows. Your connection checks the ones they're willing to share — and only those.

Long-term vision

Today, two surfaces.
Tomorrow, anything your network can access.

Sircol's v1 is LinkedIn and Email — the universal first surfaces. Over time, any data source your connections can search becomes a Sircol search: their calendars, their CRMs, their files, their notes. The trust model — per-result approval, never seeing their data — stays the same.

FAQ

Questions people ask before signing up.

Does Sircol read my inbox? +
No. Sircol runs a specific search on your account — only when you (or a connected user, with your approval) ask it to. Results are scoped to that one query, and nothing leaves your inbox unless you check the rows that you want to share.
What if I don't want to help with a request? +
Reject it. The sender sees that you declined; no reason required. You can also approve zero results — sending nothing back is a valid answer.
How does the LinkedIn search work? +
Sircol composes a LinkedIn People Search URL from the query and shows it to the recipient. They open it in their own LinkedIn account, see who matches, and choose which names or profile URLs to paste back. Sircol never scrapes LinkedIn.
Do I need to be on Sircol to receive a request? +
For v1, yes — both ends need accounts. Coming soon: send a request to any email address; the recipient onboards from a one-click invite.
Is Sircol free? +
Yes, free during early access. We'll be transparent before anything changes.
What data sources work today? +
Gmail (OAuth), IMAP for other providers, Google Contacts, and LinkedIn (via constructed search URLs). More data sources are on the roadmap.
